SmartFinger® Evaluation Kits
The IDEX SmartFinger® Evaluation Kit can be used to demonstrate the capabilities of the IDEX SmartFinger® Film Fingerprint Sensor and the Image Reconstruction (IR) and Enrollment & Matching (E&M) algorithms.
The Evaluaton Kit consists of a Demo Unit, a USB cable and Windows based PC Software (including drivers). The Demo Unit is connected to the PC via a USB 2.0 High Speed port.
SmartFinger® Embedded Development Kits
IDEX offers development kits to enable qualified customers to develop embedded fingerprint authentication solutions or add fingerprint authentication to existing products.
IDEX biometric algorithms run on an external controller, performing the functions of real-time image reconstruction, feature extraction, and matching. They are highly optimized to minimize the requirements for processing capacity and memory (both RAM and flash). Everything is provided in relocatable library files that are independent of operating system, compiler and development environment.
Software libraries for imaging, enrollment and verification are available for ARM7 and Cortex M3 cores and have already been compiled for controllers supplied by Atmel, NXP, Freescale and STMicroelectronics.
The low-level software interface to the fingerprint sensor is specific to the microcontroller version. IDEX provides specifications and guidelines in order to establish this.
The development kit is based on standard development boards supplied by the microcontroller vendor and a plug-on module with the fingerprint sensor and the software libraries provided by IDEX.
