In September 2009 IDEX and Ionics EMS Inc (Ionics) entered into a strategic IP licensing agreement providing Ionics a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to manufacture and sell fingerprint sensor products based on IDEX’ patented SmartFinger® technology.

IKENDI Software AG

IDEX’ embedded fingerprint solution has been developed in close collaboration with IKENDI and a cooperation agreement was entered into between the two companies in the second quarter of 2009. IKENDI has 15 year old roots in research of digital image processing and artificial intelligence. Norwegian Information Security laboratory – NISlab

IDEX collaborates on a project basis with Norwegian Information Security laboratory – NISlab. NISlab is part of the Faculty for Computer Science and Media Technology at the University College of Gjøvik. The group conducts international competitive research in several areas of information security, supervises Ph.D. research projects in this field and teaches courses in information security at the master and bachelor level.
